Hello, I'm Benjacksonjr an Internet Entrepreneur and Owner of Dignant, a web based business and consumer solutions company based in Maryland.
Here I write about my passion for anything technical or mechanical and about my visits to local, state and national parks.
I'm an Internet Entrepreneur from Maryland who has lived and studied in several places around the West Coast, including New York, Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC.
Ever since I can remember I've been interested in anything technical and tried to figure out how everything worked. Toy after toy was immediately disassembled, repurposed and then reassembled.
In the early 80's I got my first personal computer. An Apple IIe with 51/4 floppy disk drives, green monochrome monitor and a dot matrix printer (thanks mom & pop). After joining the computer club at high school I studied Basic, Fortran, and Pascal at University. After receiving a degree in Afro-American Studies with Economics minor, I began working on various entrepreneurial projects on the Internet.
I started developing and coding websites in the early 90s doing freelance work for a couple of small businesses and organizations. My primary expertise lies with site design, coding and development, but my skill set includes ASP, PHP, Javascript, branding, Wordpress, SEO, content management, usability, accessibility, software implementation, computer assembly/maintenance and more. I am a strong advocate of the use of web standards that provides code that is not only easily readable by others but also future-proof as browsers evolve.
I then started Dignant a web based business and consumer solutions company to be a base of operations for my Internet entrepreneurial endeavors. And just so we're clear, nothing I say or include on this site necessarily represents the views of Dignant; it's all my personal opinion.
Currently I research and develop Generic Domain Name portfolios (location, location, location). When not at my machine I can be found enjoying the great outdoors rain or shine at a State, National or Historic Park.
